Rocky Gap

We came, we conquered and we are back home.

Under seasonable mild temps and bright sun, the road trip to Rocky Gap Casino and Golf Resort started with 15 of us playing the Whitetail golf course.  With the back nine of the Whitetail course carved out of a mountain, we found the Whitetail course very scenic and challenging.

After we meet by the Rocky Gap fire pits on Friday evening, the temptation of Lady Luck called for many of the attendees to visit the casino.  For all 30 intrepid ASGA-DCers, Saturday morning was our first view of the Rocky Gap golf course.  While the course gave everybody fits, and with many golf balls contributed to the surrounding woods and ponds, we had five closest to pin winners:  Pam Skiff, Chuck Davis, George Salmon, Sharon Geyer and Deb Swedberg.

Lady Luck at the casino and the Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute show were among the after-dinner Saturday night activities.  Since what happens at Rocky Gap stays at Rocky Gap…

Sunday provided another opportunity for all 30 ASGA-DCers to test the Rocky Gap golf course, and many more golf balls were contributed to the course.  Closest to pin winners were Heidi Moos, Rita Daley, Greg Basheda, Kathie Hiatt, and Chuck Davis.

We all agreed that the Rocky Gap golf course was great fun.

On the way back home, several us stopped at the Log Cabin Inn in Hancock for early dinner.
