“The Last Hurrah”

For as many years as I can remember, Raspberry Falls has been the unofficial home course of ASGA- DC. The course has hosted our annual kickoff events (regardless of what point in the golf season the event actually took place). In recent years, our final event of the season has also been held at Raspberry Falls. Sadly, the course management has decided to stop holding group events on weekends. They have made an exception, and agreed to hold our final year end event this year. Thus, this event will be our Last Hurrah at Raspberry Falls.

As has occurred in the past, the ASGA DC board has agreed to a subsidy to help defray the cost of this season ending event. The first 36 players to sign up for the event will be given a $10.00 discount. This discount will apply ONLY to paid ASGA members. There will not be a subsidy for guests. The field is not limited to 36 players, just the subsidy. So act fast if you want to take advantage of this bonus.

As is tradition, we will have a BBQ buffet following our round. This is included in the price. Following golf, and at some point during dinner, we will announce the closest to the pin winners. We will also have a drawing for the year end raffle prize. Two ASGA members will split the available pool of money. The actual amount will not be determined until the last week of the season. We will also recognize the members who donated their time and energy to act as Event Coordinators during the season. Finally, what everyone is waiting for, we will elect the board members and various chairs for the 2024 season.

Assuming we have at least 32 players, we will have the typical modified shotgun start. This will allow everyone to finish at approximately the same titime, so we can all eat dinner together. The shotgun start will commence at 12:00 noon. Please act fast to reserve your spot in our final weekend event at Raspberry Falls.
