    Woodlands Recap

Our 32 players enjoyed one of the best weather days of the summer.
Outside of the recently aerated greens they really enjoyed playing this
course.  Fortunately, it wasn't cart path only, because it is a hilly
course with undulating greens.  The women's tees were fair at 4,700+ yards
and the men had a choice of either 6,100 yards or combo tees at 5,800 yards
that I have had to reluctantly retreat to.
The closest to the pins Par 3 contests were dominated by Wayne with 3 and
April with 2.  However, in order to give other people a chance to win they
could only collect on one.  So, the other winners were Scott Hall, Liz
Dahreddine, Tony Paduano, Georg Salmon, Joann St Peter and Holly Warner at
14 inches.  She didn't make the putt because it was so close that her
    partners gave it to her.
Everyone enjoyed a beautiful afternoon out on the clubhouse back patio
while waiting for everyone to come in.  I hope Annette and I made it
worthwhile for those of you making the long trek up from DC and Virginia.
