Carroll Valley Recap

October 2, 2021

The sunny skies and mild temperatures greeted the ASGA golfers as they traveled to the antebellum hamlet of Fairfield, Pennsylvania and Carroll Valley. The course was in beautiful shape despite the recent heavy rains that have plagued the area this year. There are no tricks to Carroll Valley. What was seen from the tee box is what you got and that was long fairway lined by benevolent rough. The bent-grass greens were smaller than average and in good shape, #3 notwithstanding. The quirky layout of the course featured five par-5 and six par-3 holes.

After the round we enjoyed dinner at the Eagle and Owl Restaurant on the grounds of the resort.

Congratulations to all our closest to the pin contest winners!
