Raspberry Falls Recap

For all who claim that it always rains when we play at Raspberry Falls, I say: HA! Under sun-drenched, low (relatively speaking) July humidity, on fairways lined with wild flowers and butterflies, ASGA-DC belated celebrated the official start of its 2019/20th season with 51 golfers. We teed off, shotgun style at Raspberry Falls on Saturday, July 13, 2019.

The course was well-organized, providing us with a well-stocked driving range, and good9course conditions (notwithstanding the drenching rain of the previous week), permitting us to drive our carts on most fairways.

Following the completion of our rounds, we were treated to Raspberry Falls’ Italian-style buffet spread, and tall tales from the day’s fun. We did not have any hole-in-one contest winners. Closest to the pin and Good Sport* cash prizes were awarded to:

A personal thank you, again, to Sandy Goshgarian for volunteering to serve as our official hole-in-one witness on the 15th hole (for the $10,000 prize), and to everyone who came out to play for a successful event!
